1852-53

Season 1852-3

Torquay Cricket Club moved to a new ground at Chapel Hill Cross in 1852. The ground, at the junction of Cricketfield Road and Barton Road, was to remain Torquay CC’s home until 1925. It would also be used for football – including being home to Torquay United FC in 1904/05 and between 1906 and 1910 ( the 1905/06 season was played on the opposite side of Cricketfield Road). Torquay United A played there from 1954-66. The ground is currently used by Barton CC and Upton Athletic FC.
